New year, new opportunity to travel Australia again.
I have a bunch of internet mates with whom I have been talking to online with for the last 6 or so years and we finally decided on a place and date for an in person meet and that place just happened to be a city and state that I have never visited before, Adelaide.
Feeling like I couldn't travel by plane again, we set out on the huge journey in my trusty car. My travel there took me via Dubbo and Hay before arriving in Adelaide, both days were about 9 or 10 solid hours on the road, very tiring for us.
Adelaide decided to be cold and wet which wasn't great for my old bones but it wasn't the worst feeling and it wasn't a constant rain either which was good. The city is nicely set out and has some good little places to visit like Hahndorf and the hinterlands. The highlight of the trip was definitely seeing my friends and it made the trip worthwhile.
The trip home included stopping off in Geelong to visit the 12 Apostles and London Bridge, both great natural land features to see in person. Trying to make the trip home a little easier on us we stopped in at Parkes, Goondiwindi and finally Toowoomba before making it home.
A huge road trip that also saw my cars odometer tick over the 100k mark, which we missed the photo of.

Tasmania hasn't been hugely up on my bucket list of places to visit but the opportunity to visit it couldn't be passed up and so I set out on a driving trip, that would last 3 weeks from Brisbane to the Island.
Getting to Tasmania saw us stay in Coff Harbour, Canberra and Geelong before we finally took the barge 'The Spirit of Tasmania' for an overnight trip. Devonport was where we arrived on the island and after an hour or 2 dawn drive we arrived in our first location, Launceston (on my 42nd birthday no less). A few days there with some sight seeing saw us move onto the seaside town of Bicheno on the east coast. After another few days there we headed off down the coast to the Capital city Hobart. A few days exploring the area, Port Arthur and the Mona Gallerie, and we went off to our next stop Cradle Mountain. This place was very pretty with the flora and fauna but the lack of phone reception was a bit annoyance but still worth the visit. Our last stop saw us move on to the northern coastal town Penguin, this place was also very quiet much like Bicheno was earlier in the trip. With the trip down we headed back on the barge and stopped at Canberra and Coffs Harbour on the way back.
I would definitely like to return to Tassie one day to see some of the places I visited again, like Cradle Mountain, but also see the west coast.

Well most of the year has passed with very little activity by me on here, apologies for all who held their breathes waiting.
A fair bit has happened in the months I last wrote on here, I got re-elected as President of my local sport, I competed in Sydney with my local team, done a couple of trade shows for my work and now just purchased a 3d printer. The DJI Mini 2 Drone kind of sits unused as I think my anxiety about breaking it is making me hesitant in using it. I am sure I will break it out and start doing some good stuff with it.
We have our local grand final next weekend, I am hopeful but I really don't know if we have the team to compete with the #1 team whom we really struggle against.
Wish us luck!

You may have noticed no new videos on my Youtube page since my last post on here. No real reason I guess just no inspiration for creating a video from what seems like 7 hours of driving footage, haha.
In other news I started back at work not long after my last blog, been good I guess with now concentrating on business development solely.
A passion of mine these last few years has been my sport Powerchair Football and helping it grow. I took over as the state's President a year ago and have done my best to lead it forward with growth. We brought in sponsorship money for our teams to attend the nationals tournament in Sydney, hosted a fundraising night where we celebrated a great season and people who helped grow the sport. Last week I visited a local sporting group who are keen for us to use their facility as a new home base, I think it has promise as a base but all things need to be considered, does it meet our needs for the next few year.
I hope things become more clearer in the coming weeks as we push for more sponsorships and prepare for an Annual General Meeting, where I may or may not run for re-election.
Just bought myself a DJI Mini 2 Drone and have yet to use it, I think I am worried about breaking it, the only way to learn it to fly it. Stay tuned for my drone adventures I guess.

So I released a video from my NZ trip, It's just an unedited video of the Maori Cultural Show in Rotorua. I thought I would start off easy with my video's with releasing a video without much editing or any voiceover work needed.
Can check it out here. I will work towards a proper video soon.
In other news I ended up getting sick soon after new years and spent the week recovering, so my time off from work has not totally been a great time.

In the coming weeks I will endeavour to work on a video of my trip over to New Zealand. Two weeks turns out to be a lot of times by the end of the journey, especially when you are running on very little sleep for the last week of said trip.
For now I will continue to recover from my lack of sleep and work on a narrative for the travel video.
Keep an eye out here and over on my channel for a release in the near future.

In just a couple of days I will be in New Zealand for the very first time and also my very first overseas trip. I know many people never get to experience leaving their own country but It feels like something I should have done way earlier than now.
The main thing that really held me back was not having the support to go and also not being sure If I could take multiple hours in a seat unable to get up and around. This trip is pretty much a testing ground for me to see if I can take a 3 hour plane flight without issues. My next plan would be looking at either Singapore, Macau or even Japan as a dream destination in the next few years.
So hopefully plenty of material for YouTube from this trip with my purchase of the Rode Wireless 2 Go, they seemingly worked natively out of the box when connected to my phone and then GoPro Hero 7 Black kit.
Still on the gaming grind but have started playing a game called 'Marvel Snap' on my phone and Steam. I have never really been a mobile gamer but I do enjoy this game and often win when I think for sure I am going to lose.

So quite a while ago I bought a PlayStation 5, mainly to play a better version of the newly released Battlefield 2042, funny thing about it is that I hardly ended up playing it at all and have been letting the PS5 sit dormant for the last year or so mostly.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago when i decided to pick up the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 game and I have totally fell off the Call of Duty series these last 10 years, because like the assassin's creed games, there isn't a lot of changes to the core game to warrant a new purchase. So i picked up Call of Duty and having fun with some of the playlist games, but getting hammered a lot or can be.
One of the reasons I really slowed down with PS5 gaming is because the controllers has become a little bit too big for my hands to hold and push the buttons now. I battle holding onto the controller while also battling to fire the guns, all of it leads to me getting mostly negative kill death ratios. Gradually I feel like I have been getting used to things and have been having some decent games here and there. If you know of any custom PS controllers in the size of a DS3, please send the link my way, I still feel like the DS3 was the perfect size for me.
I was always going to get God of War Ragnarok and now having finished it, it is definitely a worthy follow up to the previous game. All up It took me about 24 hrs to finish the main story and that was with skipping pretty much all of the side quests on offer, something I also did in the last game. Like the last game I played it all live on Twitch and now currently uploading smaller chunks onto my YouTube gaming channel.
Feel free to come check me out on Twitch to see me play something live, most likely Call of Duty now having finished God of War.
